Cold Wax Medium
Everyone always asks - "how do you get that surface?" Well, come and learn!
In this workshop we will explore different uses and techniques with Cold Wax medium as well as moving paint with your hands (no brushes!). I will provide you with a container of cold wax to start, as well as my personal recipe to make your own at home. We will work on 4 pieces at the same time to allow for layering/drying time.
I will provide :
cold wax (and recipe)
10x10 canvas and a small panel
You bring:
4-5 oil paints (warm and cold, variety of colors for mixing)
3 other surfaces in your size preferences (no larger than 40x40)
tight fitting gloves
palette knife

Date/Time: Saturday, April 20 11-4 OR May 18, 11-4, OR May 25
Cost: $325 for one day, $600 for both Saturday and Sunday

Books into Trees-Altered Book Art
Create your own altered book piece by turning your favorite book back into a tree!
In this workshop we will learn paper conservation, glues, and cutting techniques to memorialize your desired tale.
I will provide :
Glues, finishing products
scissors, cutters
12 x 12 substrate
You bring:
a copy of your favorite book that you are willing to cut up and reform!
